4K recording capability, 35mm 4K Exmor CMOS Super sensor and E-mount lens system. Highly flexible 4K 100Mbps (3840 x 2160) recording using Sony’s advanced XAVC (Long GOP) codec recording system ) and Full HD (1920 x 1080) in XAVC format at 60p with 4:2:2 10-bit at 50 Mbps. It also allows slow motion recording at 240 fps in Full HD.

Continuous HD recording up to 120fps and 8 second long bursts at 240fps. 4K RAW output for external recorders. It has a compact, lightweight and ergonomic design weighing only 830g.
