What was the MX183 designed for?
The MX183 omnidirectional condenser lavalier microphone is designed for spoken voice applications, in television broadcasts, speeches, lectures and also in places of worship.
What is an interchangeable capsule?
All microphones in the Microflex series use interchangeable capsules (optional) and allow you to select a cardioid, supercardioid, or omnidirectional condenser capsule simply by unscrewing it from the top of the lavalier microphone.
What if I want to use it wirelessly?
The MX183 is designed for wired use and includes an in-line preamp and a 1.2 m cable with a TA4F connector. For wireless applications, the WL183 is preferable, as it is the same microphone, but without the preamp, and can be connected directly to any of Shure’s wireless beltpacks.
