Teradek Beam is an H.264 video encoder, capable of sending high quality video at bit rates of up to 30Mbps. Beam works in the 5GHz band and can transmit up to 760m with just 2 frames delay. With 3G-SDI input and the choice of V-mount or AB mount, Beam integrates seamlessly into most cameras. It also includes OLED screen for quick setup, LAN port, RS-422 for camera control and IFB. Beam uses the RTSP and MPEG-TS protocols to broadcast over the Internet to a Beam decoder or to any computer. The Beam decoder can also act as an RTSP server.
