The 20-120mm Cabrio (XK6x20) PL has a unique detachable unit, making it suitable for use as a standard PL lens or as an ENG-style lens. The XK6x20 also features rack-mount focal length adjustment, macro function, and supports LDS (Lens Data System) and /i metadata. With a focal range of 20-120mm, a weight of just 2.9kg including servos, and a T-stop of T3.5 from end to end, the Cabrio XK is sure to become your “most desirable” lens.
Videographers accustomed to shooting video in a typical ENG style will be very comfortable with the servo. Cinematographers will also feel right at home with this lens. By removing the removable unit, the lens is ready to accept film vehicles and industry-standard filter holders. Additionally, the lens has all the lens data outputs that appeal to the cine-style photographer. LDS and /i metadata compatibility are very useful when recording zoom, aperture, and focus position information for computer animation and other uses.
The digital servo on the 20-120mm Cabrio features 16-bit encoding, so operators can be assured that all data output from the lens will be extremely accurate.
The 20-120mm zoom size covers an S35 (Super 35 Film Format – 24.84 x 13.97 mm) PL 20-120mm sensor size in a digital cinema-style camera. While sensors in broadcast cameras are all the same size, sensors in digital cinema cameras vary greatly. This new zoom ensures that the captured image will cover large sensors for optimal full-frame resolution. A nine-blade diaphragm is also part of the design, creating the most natural images possible.
The barrel markings are luminous for visibility in dark shooting situations. Distances are indicated in feet and meters and can be changed in the field.
