The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro is a compact and lightweight broadcast camera for live production. Features added to the Studio include carbon fiber body, up to ISO 25,600, 13 dynamic range stops, larger tally light, HDMI output with camera control, 12G-SDI input and output, Talkback SDI, 2 USB-C ports for recording and control, one 5-pin headphone jack, Speaker, integrated microphones, 7″ HDR LCD display, redesigned lens hood and 10G Ethernet.
Offers UHD resolutions up to 3840x2160p60. It is lightweight but durable for use in the field. It features a bright 7″ capacitive touch HDR display for full control of all settings, and features a detachable, collapsible hood. It has brightness, contrast, iris and peaking controls on the sides and 3 programmable buttons. The camera integrates DaVinci Resolve to control color and brightness from a computer and ATEM mixer.
Designed for live productions, it allowsRAW files to be recorded onto USB discs and used in all circumstances using a tripod. Its built-in touchscreen includes side handles and physical controls that make it easier to track shots and use the camera for long periods.
Both models work really well in conditions of light scarcity, with hardly any noise or grain in the image, with a gain of between -12dB (100 ISO) to 36 dB (25600 ISO). With a sensor of great dynamic range fully exploited, it also has color grading functions included.
