Atomos Shogun Inferno

Atomos invented the all-in-one monitor-recorder category and now redefines it with the Shogun Inferno. This new monitor is the combination of the most advanced technology in terms of recorders. 4K 60fps via Quad-SDI, along with playback and editing functionality that streamlines work on set. The Shogun Inferno brings the opportunity to work at high resolutions, high shutter speeds and high dynamic range to all filmmakers.

AtomHDR image processing allows recording with the high dynamic range of Log profiles while keeping vibrant colors true to life. Conventional monitors lack this capability and display the “washed out” image of the Log profile, making it difficult to expose shots correctly. With AtomHDR it is possible to record in Log profiles while the contrasted image is shown on the monitor as it would look after color grading.

The Shogun Inferno combines high resolution recording, high fps speed and playback. Record HDMI and SDI output directly from the sensor in 10-bit ProRes 4:2:2 or DNxHR up to stunning 4K 60p or HD 240p. RAW capture via SDI output in 4K 30p directly to CDNG or ProRes/DNxHR capture.

Shogun Inferno includes a multitude of tools, all of them accessible in a single touch and simple to use. The video interface includes tools for focusing, framing, and exposure (Focus peaking, 2:1/1:1 zoom, Zebra, False Color, Framing Guides, luma/RGB, and vectorscope) along with the 3D LUT tool that Allows you to view built-in or added LUTs.

It includes Atomos’ patented Continuous Power System – a dual battery system that changes based on battery charge. To support the dual battery system, it includes a high-speed charger, two 4-cell batteries, and a direct current cord.

It has multiple audio options that replace the need for a separate audio recorder. Monitor up to 8 channels of audio via HDMI, up to 12 via SDI, or use the XLR breakout cable to connect external microphones with 48V phantom power.
