The AJA 2K/4K camera has been conceived as an ergonomic and lightweight proposal with unparalleled connectivity, being able to obtain images at 4K / Ultra HD and 2K / HD resolutions. Another of its advantages is the possibility of recording directly in the Apple ProRes codec family, including 12-bit ProRes 444, at the same time that it allows the capture with incredible image quality on AJA Pak SSD up to 4K / 60p. Cion also supports AJA Raw HFR up to 4K/120p and is the only 4K/Ultra HD camera available that internally captures 12-bit ProRes 444.
With more monitoring outputs than any other camera in its class, along with a highly reliable monitor and LAN browser video tap, Cion provides advanced monitoring flexibility for a wide range of productions. Users can choose a mix of 2 x 4K/Ultra HD and 3 x 2K/HD or 8 x 2K/HD, with multi-cam capability via built-in LAN connection and remaining recording time monitor all in one tandem. The built-in web server and LAN port facilitate remote configuration and control, so users can configure and control multiple Cion cameras through a standard web browser.
Constructed of a lightweight magnesium alloy and featuring a contoured fiber shoulder pad, Cion is easy and comfortable to install and operate. Paired with AJA’s Pak Dock, Cion operators can also achieve fast transfer speeds via Thunderbolt or USB3 for immediate access to files for editing.
Of note, the camera’s ability to use third-party mounts gives it great versatility in 4K/Ultra HD.
